When do I get my security deposit back?

Duration and procedure

Once your tenancy ends and you have moved out, we will inspect your room, send you a damage invoice for potential damages and offset this against your deposit and any other outstanding balances. The remaining balance will be returned to your account within 8 weeks of the end date of the lease. In most cases however, we are quicker.

In order to avoid delays in the refund of your deposit, we kindly ask you to fill in your bank details in your cockpit. You will find this section in the cockpit when you log in under "Registration" > "Bank details".

Payout only to your bank account

For security reasons, we can only pay out your deposit or other outstanding amounts to an account that has the same name as yours.

Payment to a foreign account

Payments to a foreign bank account are possible. However, please note that most banks charge a fee for this and it will be deducted accordingly.
